Im working on getting a track setup for my son and well myself (shameless 34 year old man :). I was wondering if @3DBotMaker had some time to provide some helpful tips and tricks for getting something setup.
Currently I have a 3d printer and I'm in the process of printing out the parts for the turns. Also, I'm going to have a couple 90 degree turns on the track so I'm working to find a solution for that as well. I plan to use the corrugated plastic for the track and wood to shape the track/environment. I'll probably start something simple to begin with, but would like to get to a point where I have a real world type environment similar to 3D's latest tracks.
Here are a couple things that I still need to work out. As I find solutions for them I can post and share as well. If you have any recommendations or tips would love to know!
A good solution for the track timer system
An easy solution for starting the race while holding a camera
Some sort of camera steadying device for smoother video
Good recommendations for cameras to use
Tips/tricks/references for environment setup
Editing software tips/tricks/references for learning this sort of thing
Sources for sound effects
Looking forward to the future build and eventually starting a Youtube channel to go along with it. Hopefully help grow the community!
