Hi Folks, I searched the forum to avoid repetition but was unable to find an answer. I saw someone ask about painting the orange HW track, what about coroplast Q. Do you have to treat coroplast before painting it? Like a lite sanding. Q. Is there a type of spray paint that adheres best without affecting race action? Other tips appreciated. I was in a small hobby shop today and dude mentioned I should lightly sand the surface before painting… that the cars might not run right if I just paint the untreated coroplast. The Reason I ask… I found on Amazon 30 Coroplast, White Sheets 18” x 24”, for $37. That was the best per sheet price that I found. That’ll make several 18” straight track pieces and more. The other colors black, yellow, blue, etc., are more expensive per sheet, like ~50% more or so. Maybe I need to widen my search. Maybe Michael’s. Since I might want a darker raceway, brownish, blackish, grayish… I figured I could paint it and use some for dioramas, parking lots, etc., and paint those too. Am I on the right track, do I have frugal options? I do not want to just paint and ruin the surface and race action. Bigg Samm Wanna be YouTube racer
